Growth Spurt

My little boy has had a growth spurt...he no longer fits in any of his 12 month pants..thank goodness since he is 19 months old. But the waists of all the 18 month pants are too big...ugh. I need to find a belt for a toddler. But then most of his pants don't have loops to put a belt through. It's tough trying to dress a kid.

Gracie is super skinny too. The best invention are those adjustable waist jeans. Old Navy has them and so does Cherokee (from Target) and baby Gap. It's the only way Grace can wear jeans. She is 28 months and only weighs 24 pounds! She can wear 18 month pants, but the length is about and inch too short.

Good Luck!

I get it. At 16 months Megan is just starting to wear 12 month clothes. 6-9 are good in the waist but too short, most 12 mo are either too long or too big in the waist. Makes shopping fun!

Abby is the same way! She is almost 2 and can wear pants anywhere from 12-24 months in size..it just depends on what brand. We do alot of rolling of the waistband and safety pins! The girl has no butt (diaper not counting!) Hope all is well Ang..I enjoy keeping up with you and your family in your blog.
Much love, Sarah

I second Kim's kudos on Old Navy and the adjustable waist pants. Kohls also carries some brands that have them too. Hannah is sooo tall (wearing 2T length pants and shirts) but really skinny. So, anything even close to long enough won't stay up!

I like the new header.

I had the same problem with Obi-Wan. Pants that were long enough always fell down. I finally found adjustable elastic waistband pants at The Children's Place and they work great.

I know what you mean! Our oldest two girls are tall and THIN like their daddy and we have always struggled with pants. They are always too short and too big in the waist! I love the adjustable waist ones, but have also found that draw strings worked well during diaper days...a bit more challenging when they are old enough to go potty but can't tie yet! I have also been known to sew elastic in jeans that were a style too cute to pass up! You can sew some in the back half of the waistband without losing the style in the front. Makes a big difference.
