John had the opportunity to play golf with Kyle Petty today (Nascar driver for those like us that don't really watch). He said Kyle was super nice and they had a great time.

No wonder I feel so yucky!!!
I have been feeling horrible for like 2 weeks. My throat is killing me and I've just been plain yucky. I figured it was allergies...and while we aren't as high as some of these places I'm sure that is what is making me feel so rotten...
Taken from USA Today..
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A yellow haze of pollen descended on the Southeast in the past week, coating cars and porch furniture and making people miserable in one of the worst allergy seasons in years. Doctors are telling people with stuffed-up noses and itchy, watery eyes to spend more time indoors if they can.
"Everybody who walks through the door, you can see it in their faces," said Atlanta pharmacy owner Ira Katz, who is running low on medication to treat what he said is the worst allergy season of his 26 years in the business.
Atlanta's pollen count hit 5,499 particles per cubic meter of air Monday, the highest so far this season and the fourth highest in the 12 years that the Atlanta Allergy and Asthma Clinic has been keeping records. In South Carolina, the pollen count hit 4,862, according to the Allergic Disease and Asthma Center in Greenville.
A reading of 120 is considered extremely high in the Southeast. A lack of rain is blamed for the high pollen count. Rain scrubs pollen from the air.

Are the mommy dummies gone?
Ever since becoming a mom, I have claimed the mommy dummies as I apparently have lost brain cells or something. Well, I am proud to announce that I have had at least a temporary lapse of pure genius. Lately, Joshua has been VERY picky about eating. He no longer wants to eat jarred baby food at all and is really only interested in fruit, cheerios, and green beans. He will literally eat a whole can of green beans in one sitting and I have not found a fruit that he does not like. But put a carrot, potato, asparagus, chicken, anything and he is NOT interested. He is simply picky, picky, picky. So it dawned on me that since he likes green beans so much that maybe if I soaked other things in green bean juice he might eat them. So today I've been soaking cooked macaroni & carrots in green bean juice and served it to him for dinner and apparently the lure of the "green bean" flavor was enough to make him eat them. He ate almost every single item that I had soaked. I was floored that it worked. I tried to feed him the exact same carrots at lunch and he threw them all on the floor. But after soaking for several hours they apparently have a new appeal. So, since that is my genius moment for the year I figured I should share because it might not happen again!

Vroom, vroom....
Joshua has learned how to play with cars...in other words, he now knows to push them around and make "vroom" noises (although they aren't very sophisticated vroom's yet). Too cute!

Baby stuff I love...
When I like good products - I think it's good to spread the word...so I wanted to share about a few things I really like...
1. Boudreaux Butt Paste - Yes, that is the real name. It is absolutely the BEST diaper rash cream around. I've tried all the rest - and nothing comes even close.
2. Kindermusik - I can't believe how great these classes are. I really love them and more importantly Joshua REALLY loves them and I feel like he has learned so much from the classes...I HIGHLY recommend them.
3. Baby Einstein & Elmo - All in all they are both great. Elmo is just adorable and nothing entertains Joshua so I can get a break like Baby Einstein.
Ok - that is it for now...I'm sure I'll think of more to add.

New Video - Josh Getting Ball
If you don't have sound...I'm asking Joshua to get a ball. He is so smart!
New Video
This is a video of Joshua - if you don't have sound - I'm asking him to "go get the kitty". If you listen closely you can hear him say kitty right when he starts to turn around after he walks across to her. Enjoy!

Sorry I haven't posted a lot lately - after being pretty busy - I am now sick. YUCK! Luckily everyone else seems to feel well and hopefully it will stay that way - but it's still no fun being a mom and being sick. On Friday we went to our church consignment sale and racked up! Out most exciting purchase was this new wagon for Joshua. Everyone was telling us - we needed two more kids to fill it - wouldn't that keep me busy! But for now, we will be happy with our one little guy who LOVES his new wagon.
I am really posting just to add some pictures. I will give more updates later when I'm feeling a little better. The other pictures are the children's museum - which is also LOADS of fun. Oh, the picture of Joshua with the little girl, is a girl named Tori who took Joshua under her wing to show him how everything worked. She is 7 and was wooed by all of Joshua's charms. Joshua seems to love the older girls because he had them all over him that day.
